step not on a single crack, tossing salt behind your back.
there's silence in the classroom, and everyone's doing their testpapers. all of a sudden, a scream erupts in the classroom. everyone looks around, shocked, expecting to find the place being bombed. a whole row of girls are staring at the floor, "Where'd it go? Where'd it go?!" the little terror scurries around, hiding under my bag. "Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!!" joycelin screams as it runs to her. our brave teacher scoops it up n throws it out the door, asking, "Have u nvr heard of the song 'Bu Pa Bu Pa'?" then all of us grins sheepishly.
n dats abt the main storyline for the invasion of the cockroach. hong yee has a point, the sch DOES seem to be infested with insects. juz this morning, an evil spider kept climbing up my desk leg no matter wat i did to it, including spraying it with water. cheryl said it wanted revenge. tsk tsk tsk. oh yeah, n im on the welfare committee. i luurve it.

hey girls and guys, sorry i've not been posting lately. i just have so much homework nowadays! i had to install a printer cos i had so much online research to print. plus, i've already used up a whole stack of papers and we had to buy new ink cartridges! its madness, i tell you, madness! anyway, let's carry on, shall we?
firstly, i got into choir. good for u , u might think, but NO. choir was so my 2nd choice! i put ELDDS as first. (if u were wondering, it stands for English Literature Drama n Debate Society, LD for short.)
i bet now u understand why im so crazy abt it. not too keen on the drama, the literature part is for writing comps n stuff like dat, which FYI, i absolutely luuuurve. but even though i went to the trouble to go for auditions, print out a compo for them, get lost in the staff room finding the teacher's table to put the compo, i STILL didnt get in. instead, lin jian got in. n i was the idiot who convinced her to put it as 1st choice. wow. its amazing i can still go home with her n act like nothing's wrong. the reason i wanted to join LD was cos i wanted to try sth new. joyce (who used to be in CO) is in girl guides, hameed (video club) is in volleyball, arina (library, i think) is in netball. its so unfair, they get to try new stuff while im stuck with same old choir. plus, they made it worse by saying sec 1s couldnt join SYF, which is this year! urghhh!
secondly, i decided to take part in the commonwealth essay competition (since i couldnt do it in LD *grits teath*) and i've just printed it out. as usual, the dude in the story takes drugs and someone dies (not him though). it's almost the same plot as all my other stories, but a little different. my mum read it n said it wasnt as good as the one featured in the newspaper. for gooodness sakes, the girl in the news was 16! sigh, so much for encouragement.
thirdly, hameed just told me some shocking news. her friend's friend's cousin (who's currently studying in london) is the girlfriend of daniel radcliffe. impossible! u'll say, n dats wat i said too, but she said her friend showed her a photo of daniel n his "girlfriend". sorry hameed, i didnt have time to tell u, but for all we know, she could have added df inside the photo with photoshop. but... it also might be true. oh well, we'll just have to wait for the news to go worldwide.
gosh, i have so much more i wanna say, but im probably boring u n im wasting my time. so, toodles! gosh, im missing camille loads already...

ok, i know i should be posting about all the things that happened in school the past few days, but i feel that this post belongs to camille. i'm even going to write in full words just to show how special she is.
thank you camille for being my friend. i dont think you should be thanking me like you did in your sms, i hardly ever did anything but criticise you. :( i'm so sorry for not being able to go out with you so often, and i will definitely treasure the moments we spent together, especially the neoprints we took together. if only SOMEBODY (wink wink) had been able to turn up at causeway point the other day instead of taking care of her siblings, then the pictures would have been even MORE perfect and memorable for you. i hope that i'm not forever etched in your mind as an evil little shortie who ruins the day by saying boys suck. (by the way, i've grown 2 cm since the last time i was measured, haha). i wish you all the best in america and that you will always remember to email/write to me. i know you are sleeping as i type these very words, but hopefully you'll be able to read them in america. have fun, girl!

well, i survived the overnight camp, n i guess u could say it was an interesting experience.
we started off with some ice-breakers with our counsellors like whacko, double whacko, forming certain things with your body n a few other games. then we had to go change into our dark shirts for, ahem, cetain reasons :)
after that, we started on the more exciting games. there was dip, where u had to send out representatives from your team one at a time to dip their hands in a pail of disgusting slush to find the item requested game masters before the other team, i went twice, n both times i came up with nth :P there was scissors, paper, stone- 2 teams stand across each other at half the track, then send out one person per team to run towards the other team, when the 2 ppl meet, they have to play sps n the winner will continue running towards the other team which will send out another person to defeat her. the team which got the most ppl to the other team wins; i also got to go 2 times, both times i made it halfway but got beaten by paper. darn.
ther were other games too, less interesting than the 2 above, but still cool. after all the games, we had to go change into slippers for the water games. but it was more of a game to the counsellors than to us. they mafe us lie face down on the ground opposite a partner n while one of my counsellors (who's a drama mama) told a story, like how it started raining when this girl went out, which was when the counsellors sprinkled water on us. but it got so noisy that she just gave up n they just dumped buckets of water on us. i was soaked to the skin.
after the games, we quickly rushed to the toilets we were assigned to n started bathing. we were only given 5 mins to bathe! wah lao! when i had only finished bathing n was toweling myself dry, the ppl outside already started banging on the door. so i had to wear my clothes when i was still wet. then later we had the campfire which was awesome. there were some rather lame performances by "harry potter" n his friends. my grp managed to cheer quite well too!
but at night was still the best, we had to sleep in the hall with our sleeping bags n it was just like so fun. strangely, i fell asleep quite soon on the hard floor while my friends said they kept waking up every now n then. they also said i was sighing in my sleep. oops. i wonder what i was dreaming about.
well the next day (today) we had the cca fair where we went around checking out all the diff ccas. to my shock n horror, i was shortlisted for chinese dance due to the cca talent discovery day on thurs. eww, like im ever gonna join that. but i was pleased to know that i was also shortlisted for track n field! wowie. in your face joel! so im going for the tryouts along with some friends on monday after sch. i cant wait. if everything goes well, i'll put it for 2nd choice. ive decided to try sth new, so if i can get in, im gonna join ELDDS.

omigosh. hameed is like sooo lucky. imagine having LIFTS in your sch! plus, its only 5 stories! im not sure how many stories st nicholas has, its too huge n waaayyyy confusing. u can go up to the 3rd floor n it'll look like its the ground floor. then when u go all the way down, n it looks like there's another floor below it. erica, crystal, lin jian n i got lost aft recess n had to seek help from a sec 4 girl.
